ANIMAL COMMUNICATOR vs ANIMAL REIKI PRACTITIONER

Be it animal communicator or animal Reiki practitioner, the goal of both is working for the well-being of animals. While an animal communicator communicates with an animal and tends to focus on comprehending an animal’s thoughts, feelings and emotions of an animal, an Animal Reiki practitioner aims to offer energy healing and relaxation to an animal suffering with any kind of physical, emotional and mental ailment.
In my life as a pet parent and an animal lover, I am both an animal communicator and an animal Reiki practitioner. After years of practising animal communication and Reiki healing, I realise how both, despite a few differences, complement each other. Both skills when applied together can benefit holistically towards animal welfare.
As an animal communicator, I speak with animals, and understand what an animal is feeling and experiencing. I convey their thoughts, feelings and emotions to the pet parent/owner. I further attempt to probe deeper into the underlying emotions or behaviour of an animal, and thereafter address behavioural issues. I connect with the animal telepathically. I also try reaching out to lost pets, or animals who wandered off their homes willingly. As a communicator, I ground myself and telepathically reach out to the animal. I ask questions, and receive answers from the animal. These answers come to me sometimes as visual images, or auditory cues and sometimes merely as a gut feeling. Some communicators may also sense taste or smell of the animal’s vicinity. All these responses can be referred to as clair senses and can be categorised as clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, claircognizance, clairsalience and clairgustance. Usually, in a communication, the communicator tries to bridge the gap and facilitate communication and understanding between the pet parent/ owner and the animal. In animal communication, the animal voices out its thoughts and gets a chance to be heard. It may share its fears, traumas, likes, dislikes and other perceptions. Human companions too benefit out of this communication since they can now understand what their furry babies think, feel and want. The caretakers also realise how their actions, words and behaviour affects their pets. Animal communication usually can be done remotely using merely a photograph. In animal communication, the animal usually answers all the time. A communicator must always listen to the animal and convey as it is to the human companion and not interpret and add meaning of their own to the communication.
My communication became more effective and fruitful when I practised Reiki along with it. The foremost benefit I experienced was that my intuition improved exponentially. It is a proven fact that Reiki augments intuition. I can now better connect with animals, listen to and understand them. Since Reiki is universal life force energy, it is abundant, limitless, and harmless. It helps in connecting with the Higher Consciousness and aims in restoring balance and promoting physical, emotional, and mental healing. I realised that Reiki helped in healing of animals with their ailments. Although Reiki involves hands-on techniques to let the flow of cosmic healing energy through the practitioner to the client, in animal reiki the energy is taken in by the animal who has the power of choice without hands-on technique since it is quite intimidating to the animal. The animal takes in as much healing as it requires. Animal Reiki helps an animal by relaxing and calming it as it receives the energy. Reiki works as a complementary therapy, and should not substitute veterinary treatment. It accelerates healing. Animal Reiki can be done in-person or remotely. In an animal reiki session, the practitioner sets an intention, and chants the prayer and symbols. The Reiki practitioner is just a conduit and allows the divine energy to flow through. The healing then happens keeping the highest good of the being. In my personal experiences, Reiki helped Bolt live life smoothly despite his severe medical condition of cardiomyopathy, diagnosed in 2019. He had no complications. In fact, he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge peacefully in his sleep in 2023. I have also seen Reiki working on my free roaming strays that are sometimes hurt, in pain or even scared. As a communicator, I speak with animals, understand their issues, if any, and then seek their permission to offer them Reiki. I have observed that when they accept Reiki, miraculous healing takes place. I feel that Reiki is a powerful tool in an animal communicator’s tool-kit. Likewise, an animal Reiki practitioner can offer Reiki to an animal as they communicate and comprehend the animal’s need for healing.
